‘Premier Guarantee’ Technical Standards for Goldsmith Arms

The derelict Goldsmith Arms site was demolished and redeveloped to provide 65 apartments and a commercial unit in Acton, London. The roof installed consisted of four different insulation types and two different liquid chemistries, Enkopur with cellular glass insulation was used on the warm roof build-up and Paromelt and Enkopur were used on the inverted roof areas.

Challenges

This project was specified and delivered to high standards, following the ‘Premier Guarantee’ Technical Standards, whilst reaching high levels of thermal efficiency. The development required the highest levels of technical support due to the various challenges posed by an array of flat, pitched, ballasted and PV roofs.

Solution

Plan Construction provided the highest level of install, delivering both a Hot and Cold liquid waterproofing system, providing finished details that integrated both the Paro-Melt and Enkopur liquid systems. The project also utilised four different insulation types including Cellular Glass, PIR, Inverted EPS and Stonewool insulation to overcome the various challenges set by Fire, Thermal, Loading and workability.
