Thermography is a non-destructive method of identifying damp insulation in your roof.
Thermography measures miniscule changes in thermal radiation on a roof surface. Wet insulation will retain heat longer than dry insulation, therefore allowing thermal software to locate damp patches.
The diagnosis of a leak of an existing roof may be difficult to the naked eye, even for experienced professionals. Locating damp insulation and working back to the point of ingress can speed up this process and offer more accurate results, taking away the guess work.
Thermography is often also used for handover of newly completed roofs, to reassure the client that the roof is completed defect free.
